Enrollment Priority Guidelines
|
These guidelines are provided for the benefit of those wishing to enroll their child(ren) at St. Joseph School.
Individual enrollment decisions will be made at the discretion of the Pastor and/or Principal.
Registered and Active parishioners are those who qualify for the parishioner tuition rate under the
Eligibilty Guidelines for Parishioner Tuition Rate. Enrollment priority at St. Joseph School is determined using the following guidelines:
1. Registered and Active St. Joseph parishioners with sibling(s) enrolled in the preceding year.
2. Registered and Active St. Joseph parishioners.
3. Non-parishioner families with sibling(s) enrolled in the preceding school year who are current on their obligations to the school.
4. Catholics registered in other parishes. Parishes without schools will be given priority unless a parish with a school has closed
enrollment in a particular grade. In that case no priority will be given for any openings in that grade.
5. Non-Catholic non-parishioners.
All school families are expected to actively support the school community including, but not limited to,
classroom assistance, fund raising activities, Home and School Association and the Athletic Board.

Differentiating Criteria Within Each Category
|
In the event two or more families within the same guideline category have applied for enrollment,
the following criteria will be used to prioritize those families for available student openings.
1a. Must be eligible for Parishioner tuition rate. Earliest date of registration in parish then has priority.
2a. Must be eligible for Parishioner tuition rate. Contribuitons of time, talent and treasure will then be considered.
3a. Must be active in school community. Preference will then be given to family with greater number of potential years
siblings will be together at St. Joseph School.
4a. Must meet Parishioner Status Criteria at other parish as shown by affidavit signed by pastor of that parish.
Preference will then be given to the earliest application date.
5a. Must agree to actively support the school community including, but not
limited to, classroom assistance, fund raising activities, Home and School Association,
and the Athletic board. Preference will then be given to the earliest
application date. |
