The Bridges Lab seeks to develop better learning skills and abilities in
children through individualized activity plans with the goals of:
* Increasing
the child's ability to work for longer periods of time
* Increasing confidence
* Increasing self-esteem
* Increasing the child's comfort in the classroom
* Increasing the child's control over his or her behavior
Students are screened and assessed to determine their strengths and
weaknesses and individual plans are generated. Students then attend the
lab for 45-50 minutes twice a week until they successfully complete their
plans. Exercises and activities are designed to strengthen their focusing
skills, integrate their sensory skills, and train their learning skills.
